Cloudflare.com + IIS7 Advanced Reporting

Posted on September 28, 2012 by Thomas in Internet, Time Saving Tips

Added Cloudflare.com service to a Windows/IIS box today and I wanted to make sure I was capturing the original ip address since Cloudflare works as a reverse proxy to cache and distribute data across their CDN. Their instructions were pretty good, but a couple notes to make it easier: On step 3, you cannot “enable” […]

Speed Up Chrome – Put Flash on Demand

Posted on July 22, 2012 by Thomas in Time Saving Tips

Flash and other plugins can get annoying. I didn’t really take the time to mess with it until I saw a Reddit post or a tweet (sorry it was late) praising the time saved loading pages when Flash was disabled. Rather than install an extension to manage Flash or go all out with Ad-block, you […]

Who am I?

Thomas Loughlin

Just a guy that likes playing with new things on the internet. Graduated with a degree in Bioinformatics from Baylor University but most of my time is spent in the Financial industry.

I firmly believe that everything should be "web-consumable" via web services. I think mashups have many fun years ahead.

Primary reason for writing these blogs is to remind me what I want to play with next and also keep me from forgetting any troubles along the way.
