Many of us have either pulled a logo directly from a site or have had a site where the logo was ripped off without regard to size or background. Even more have seen some really great companies present mock-ups with crappy misused logos.
I didn’t realize until now that for all the logos I have control over, these misuses are my own fault (might be the last one to the party on this one). If the proper logo was easy to find, these professionals would not have settled for something that looked less than perfect (ok, maybe they would – people are lazy).
I learned on Twitter today that Github realized the same problem a while ago and implemented a cool fix.
